Harry Potter, Hermione, and Ron Weasley are all fantastic pups. They didn’t have a single accident in the house while staying with us. Slept through the night as well.

It’s that time of year again! Our spokesman, Jackson recently presented scholarships to two deserving seniors. The hard work and dedication from these future leaders have not gone unnoticed. They are bound to do amazing things! The recipient of the STEM and Trades Scholarship is Will Hellmann. He plans to attend State Technical College in Linn, MO for the two-year Civil Construction program. He has enrolled in his first year program, Heavy Equipment Operations. In this course he will gain hands-on experience using many types of equipment and he will also receive his Class A CDL. In the second year of his program, he will complete the Civil Construction program in which he will earn an associates degree in 2024. After graduation, he plans to gain additional experience in his field before eventually starting his own business. The recipient of the STEM and business scholarship is Mackenzie Wilson. She is the daughter of Becky and Brian Abbott and Tim Wilson. Her post-graduation plans include attending Culver Stockton College to pursue a degree in finance. She also hopes to eventually obtain a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting. Congratulations and best of luck to you both!

September 11, 2001 I sat in my dorm room in Salt Lake City with my suite mates…astonished. We watched in disbelief as the second plane hit the towers. We just began our college experience and flight school. The months ahead were uncertain and we had no idea what to expect in the career we chose to pursue. At the time I had only been in the Navy a little over 3 years and was excited to have the opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming a fighter pilot. Witnessing the destruction, death , chaos, and murder of friends in the Pentagon…further solidified my reason why I wanted to serve. Over the following days, weeks, and months we witnessed the very best acts of selfless service come from America’s Americans. We came together as one people. No race, no religion, no political views, and no differences separated us. We were United with hope, determined to recover, and bring the terrorists who committed this great atrocity to justice. 20 years later this day is as infamous as the days of significance surrounding the Great World Wars, Vietnam, and Korea. While my time wearing our Nation’s cloth and doing our Nation’s bidding is complete…I spent this week with some of the greatest warriors our country has ever known at Tailhook. Jackson and I look forward to our amazing Mom and Wife returning to us very soon as she continues to do our country’s work defending freedom and democracy around the world I our Nation’s finest Navy. As Americans… I hope we can take the opportunity to reflect what the price of freedom is to each of us. Our country isn’t perfect, our leaders have flaws, we are not infallible…but we are FREE and the United States is the greatest nation on Earth! When reflecting…remember those who have passed due to this tragedy and can no longer enjoy the freedom we still have today. Many heroes came from this event. Fireman, police officers, and all other first responders. In the days, weeks, and years to follow…warriors continued to display selfless acts of heroism on a daily basis. September 11, 2001…may we never forget. God bless all and God Bless our United States of America 🇺🇸

When a fighter pilot straps on a complex war machine...we know the cost. It doesn’t get any easier, better, or less painful when we lose one our brothers. It’s the life we choose and the passion we have all while knowing what could happen when flying these fantastic machines. It doesn’t make it any easier for those of us who remain behind to pick up the pieces when one us meets our maker. At the end of the day...going out with your hair on fire and your flight boots on...an amazingly awesome and tragic end.. His legacy will live on in our memories and stories..and we will learn from the things that led to this mishap and honor his sacrifice. The cloth of the nation and the freedom we fight for is not free...unfortunately, the harsh reality is a little more evident today. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. They are truly appreciated. In this business...it’s not if but when one of us will “fly west” for the final time. Today was his turn. Life is precious. Rest In Peace my brother.

When preparing to store your most precious items…be cognizant of fire safety. Do NOT store combustible materials in a confined place without the appropriate protections in place. If your storage plans are centered around a storage facility, have a look at its design. Are the ceilings open? Are there holes where a fire can pass through like a wind tunnel? Make sure your items are secured in their space so you can enjoy them when the time comes. TGSS has a solution for your fire protection. Each of our containers are independent from the next. We have four walls helping keep you protected from an unfortunate circumstance such as a fire. Our walls are 12-14 Gauge corteen steel. We provide almost 4mm of steel between each container in our lot. Fire departments use our containers for fire training due to their ability to contain a fire in each specific container. The United States Coast Guard produced a comprehensive study In the 1970s regarding a ship with 5,000 shipping containers. They found a fire in one container would most likely be kept to that container, not spread to adjacent containers, and keep the adjacent goods safe in the unlikely case of a fire.
